Tri-Lakes Cruisers Car Club of Monument has announced its 19th Annual Benefit Car Show to be held on Sunday, August 28, on Second Street in Historic Downtown Monument. Jim Nab, President of the Tri-Lakes Cruisers, said that the Annual Benefit Car Show was able to donate $5000 to Tri-Lakes Cares from its last Car Show, from the registration fees for 175 collector car entrants. This year’s Car Show is expected to draw even more cars, as area businesses are sponsoring 54 (!) impressive trophies to attract owners of some of the finest cars in the region. The Town of Monument and merchants on Second Street allow the Car Show to take over the downtown shopping and restaurant area, where the small scale and beautiful setting of Historic Downtown Monument make for a great car show experience for exhibitors as well as visitors.

The Car Show promotes the Town and local businesses, which report that sponsorship and showcasing their services at the Car Show is a terrific way to meet new customers. To cement the long-existing relationship between the Cruisers and the business community, the Tri-Lakes Cruisers joined the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce earlier this year. Black Forest Foods, a long-time Car Show sponsor, and other local restaurants will again be open for the show. Another sponsor, VCA Front Range Veterinary Hospital will provide a shade structure, fresh water, and treats for canine visitors. The Club has also arranged for a water wagon to travel up and down Second Street providing free bottles of water to all attendees.
