Soil Testing Lab: How to test your own soil

Have you ever wanted to get your soil tested? In this class, presented by Colorado State University Extension, you will learn how to test your own soil sample from your home or garden. You will also learn how to interpret these results so that you can understand what can grow in your soil or how you can amend your soil to create more favorable growing conditions.

You will walk away from this class with a deeper understanding of the physics and chemistry of your soil and you will immediately be able to apply it. No previous physics or chemistry knowledge is required and both beginners and advanced gardeners will learn something new! Tests include pH, nitrate, phosphate, and texture. Please bring 2 cups of soil to test.

The class is $20.  Register here:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/soil-testing-lab-how-to-test-your-own-soil-in-person-tickets-524020919677
