Monument Hill Kiwanis — Foundation Grants & 4th of July Parade

Granting.  The Monument Hill Foundation is accepting applications for grants through May 31, 2023.

The Monument Hill Foundation is the charitable arm of the Monument Hill Kiwanis Club and grants over $50,000 annually to deserving programs and organizations that support youth and community in the Tri-Lakes area & northern El Paso County.  Grant winners will be announced in the summer of 2024 and paid in the following fiscal year.  Grant information & application are available online at: monumenthillfoundation.org and select “Apply for a Grant” from the top menu.

Independence Day Parade.  The registration window for the Monument Hill Kiwanis 4th of July Parade will open in early May.

Each year, the Club organizes and operates a 100+ unit parade through downtown Monument with over 15,000 spectators.  Your organization, club, or business can participate in what has been called “the biggest small-town parade in America.”

This year’s parade theme is “The Founding Fathers and the Constitution.”  Our theme honors the effort, wisdom and courage that it took to bring forth what would become a great nation.  We also honor the principals embodied in the founding documents that rallied our citizens to overcome our enemies (including at one point ourselves) and yet are flexible enough to accommodate the changes of a maturing nation and world.  We honor independence and liberty, and trust that they will continue to be core values of a bright future for our youth and our nation.

Parade information, rules, & registration are available at MHKiwanis.org.

Join Us.  If you have a heart for service and fellowship, you can join our great club.  Learn more at MHKiwanis.org.  We meet Saturdays at 8:00-9:30 a.m. at the D38 Administration Building, called “Big Red,” on Jefferson and 2nd Streets in Monument.  Come witness the fellowship and camaraderie…no invitation required.  See for yourself what personal fulfillment looks, sounds, and feels like.
