SUMMARY:Colorado Springs Oktoberfest
DESCRIPTION:The Colorado Springs Oktoberfest has many different points of interest with the largest and most significant being a 6\,000 sq ft pole tent that houses a stage\, dance floor\, and beer festival tables. Music is continuous and there is always an OktoberFest vibe in the tent. \nThe Colorado Springs Oktoberfest is a free experience for guests and patrons to attend.  However\, there is a $15 Parking Fee to help cover expenses!  So load up the car & come on out to the Western Museum of Mining and Industry located at I-25 & North Gate Blvd.\, 225 North Gate Blvd. \nThere will be Warsteiner Beer on site as well as limited print commemorative steins and merchandise. Food and drink from multiple vendors will be available for purchase on site! DESCRIPTION:Can you bake as good as your Oma? Prove you’ve got the goodies in the Colorado Springs OktoberFest very first German Bake-Off (Das Bake Auf) Sunday\, October 1\, at 11 a.m.  OctoberFest will be held at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry (WMMI) located at I-25 & North Gate Blvd.\, 225 North Gate Blvd. in Colorado Springs. \nAny and all people are welcome to enter the bake-off! Bakers of any age and experience level can compete in one of three categories: Cake\, Strudel\, or Cookies/Dessert Bars. All baked goods must be made in a home kitchen. To enter your confection\, fill out the contact form and then complete your purchase of this product through the OktoberFest site https://csoktoberfest.com. \nThe overall winner will win a KitchenAid Mixer \nCategories are German Cake\, German Strudel and German Cookies/Dessert Bars. Each Category will have three winners:  1st Place – $75\, 2nd Place – $50\, 3rd Place – $25 \nRegister online or day-of registration at the Big Red Barn (on-site) between 11:00 and 11:30 at WMMI \nWhat to Expect on the Day of Das Bake-Auf: \n\nCheck-in is between 11 – 11:30 in the Big Red Barn. Please bring yourself and your confection to the barn no later than 11:30 to drop off your confection and receive your Bakers Number.\nJudging will begin at noon (we will update information about who is judging the event once that information is available\, keep an eye on our Facebook Page).\nWinners will be announced in the Big Red Barn after judging is completed.
